About Me

I am a mum to two teenage boys and a keen supporter of their football and basketball matches. I love reading, especially modern fiction. I enjoy practising yoga and recently took up running. My downtime is often spent with friends, coffee and cake.

With 28 years experience as a primary school teacher, I’ve taught across all primary stages from the Early Years through to Key Stage Two. Most recently, I led a large local primary school in raising literacy standards and developing English across all age groups.

What I Offer

I specialise in helping children become confident readers and writers. I am skilled in teaching phonics and early reading skills, comprehension, spelling, handwriting, grammar and more. My experience also includes working with children who have special educational needs, including those on the autistic spectrum. I use creative methods like games, rhymes and visual aids in short, focused sessions to make learning fun and effective.
